PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the carrying property in carrying without impairing displaying effect. SOLUTION: This case for housing fishing rod is made of a fabric or a synthetic resin sheet and formed in a bag-like shape from a pair of opposed front wall face 1a and rear wall face 1b and a pair of opposed side wall faces 1c and 1d and the rear wall face 1b is extended upward and a folding part 1e and an opening part 1f are formed. The lateral width W of the front wall face 1a and the rear wall face 1b is formed more widely than the opposed interval between the front wall face 1a and the rear wall face 1b. A transparent resin cover part 4 is provided on the front wall face 1a and a displaying part (a) is formed above the transparent resin cover part 4 and a fishing rod 8 is housed in the interior. A belt-like shoulder belt 5 is provided on the rear wall face 1b. An closable opening 1g is formed in either one side wall face 1c. A zipper 6 is fixed in the opening 1g.
