PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoothly swallowable liquid food or drink containing powdery soybean protein, having high dispersibility and free from coarse feeling to the throat in swallowing. SOLUTION: The liquid food or drink containing powdery soybean protein in highly dispersed state and having remarkably improved swallowability can be produced by pulverizing soybean protein powder preferably produced by spray-drying process to an average particle diameter of 20-60 μm and dispersing the pulverized soybean protein in a liquid food or drink. The invention also provides a powdery soybean protein for the production of the food or drink.
