PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleanser block for flushing toilet, exhibiting uniform gradually-soluble property every flush cleansing throughout the year without being influenced by water temperature, excellent in biodegradability and not producing scum making toilet dirty. SOLUTION: This cleanser block for flushing toilet is obtained by compounding at least (1) 3-80 wt.% alkali metal salt of a fatty acid having an 8-22C alkyl group with (2) 1-30 wt.% nonionic surfactant, (3) 3-30 wt.% alkali metal salt of a carboxymethyl cellulose and (4) 1-10 wt.% aliphatic higher alcohol having a 12-24C alkyl group.
