<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and certainly close a pipe end in case of suspending piping work with the pipe end kept open in the piping work requiring a long period of time. SOLUTION: This jig is inserted into an opened pipe end and temporarily closes the pipe end. It is furnished with an inner cover 12 inserted into the pipe end and forming a flange 12a on an outer peripheral part on the insertion inner surface side, a seal member 14 externally fitter on the insertion outer surface side of this inner cover 12, an outer cover 13 to clamp the seal member 14 with the flange 12a of the inner cover 12 and a fastening bolt 15 to fasten the inner cover 12 and the outer cover 13 to bulge the seal member 14 toward the outer peripheral side. Consequently, when a pipe end closing jig is inserted in the pipe end and the fastening bolt is lightly fastened and fixed, internal pressure works on the inner cover, the inner cover is pushed toward the outer cover, the seal member is fastened, the seal member is bulged toward the outer peripheral side, and the pipe end is firmly closed.</p> |
