PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush with tapered bristles whose top can be easily inserted into a gap between teeth such as an interdental part or tooth neck, giving a user satisfactory feeling of brushing. SOLUTION: In this toothbrush with tapered bristles 1 planted in it, the top of the tapered bristle 1 is cut off at a position of L (L=0.5-2.0 mm) from the top, with a flat plane 2(2a, 2b) around the cut-off top of the bristle. Since the top of the bristle is flat, the bristle top can well reach a gap between teeth such as an interdental part or a tooth neck part and since the cut-off tapered bristle of this toothbrush will no be weakened as in the case of an existing tapered bristle with a sharp top, a user of this toothbrush can get more satisfactory feeling of brushing.
