WATER BARRIER LAYER OF WASTE DISPOSAL SITE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING THIS LAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water barrier layer of a waste disposal site capable of upgrading the water barrier performance by preventing a significant crack from being generated and enabling a sufficient compacting density to be obtained even in the slope part as well as a method for efficiently installing the water barrier layer. SOLUTION: A water barrier sheet 5 is laminated on a mixed earth layer obtained by mixing a bentonite mixed earth with a material earth mixed with a specified amount of short fiber to constitute the water barrier layer. The mixed earth layer is constituted of a bottom face part layer 2 formed by pressure-rolling it on the bottom face 1A of a waste disposal site and a normal part layer 4 formed by pressure-polling every stratum of a unit slope part layer 3 of a specified height using a small-size roller and laminating these unit slope part layers 3 along the slope part 1B of the waste disposal site. The short fiber is previously mixed with bentonite and only a work to mix the mixture with the earth dug out on the site is performed at the layer installation spot.
