PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which improves the yield of a material in a production process, obviates the preparation of plastic sheet materials of various lengths to save labor for controlling the inventory of the sheet materials, and can respond easily to a lengthy embossing carrier tape. SOLUTION: In a method for connecting a plastic sheet material having a conductive layer at least on one side of a base material plastic sheet, the electroconductive layer of a connection part corresponding the overlap width of the plastic sheet material is removed to expose a base material plastic sheet, the exposed base material plastic sheets are laid to overlap each other and welded together, and the welded connection part is heat-pressed to make its thickness is equalized to that of a non-connection part. Next, parts protruded from both sides of the connection part are trimmed. |
