PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for controlling the fluidity and the temp. of a molten steel pool part in a twin roll type continuous casting process for producing a thin cast slab. SOLUTION: Because of controlling the fluidity and the temp. of the molten steel pool part 3 formed between two faced rolls 1a, 1b and two faced weirs 2a, 2b, refractory-made fins 4 are dipped and the direction of pouring stream 15 is changed with these fins and also, the composition of the fins is made to have electric conductivity and the fin is heated by supplying the electric current to control the temp. distribution in the molten steel pool part. In this way, the generation of solidified molten piece caused by lowering of the temp. with the stagnancy of the molten steel at a meniscus in the molten steel pool part and thermal radiation, is prevented, and the casting operation is stabilized and the casting defect is prevented.
