PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a heat mode optical information recording medium for achieving superior recording characteristics and high stability and providing high recording sensitivity when the information is recorded by using laser and also provide an information recording method thereof. SOLUTION: An optical information recording medium is provided with a recording layer containing a coloring matter compound represented by the formula and formed on a base. [In the formula, R161 and R162 represent respectively and independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an aryl, a heterocyclic group or a -COR164, R164 represents an alkyl, an aryl, an alkoxy, an aryloxy or an amino. R161, R162 and R164 can have a substituent. R163 represents a substituent on methyne carbon, (m) substituent. R163 represents a substituent on methyne carbon, (m) represents an integer of 1 or 2 and (n) represents an integer of 1-2m+1 or less. When (n) is 2 or more, a plurality of R163s can be same or different one another, and zings can be formed by bonding them one another. X16k+ represents onium ion, and (k) represents an integer of 1-10]. |
