PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a physiologically active peptide without the effect of protease by cleaving an amino group-side peptide bond of a cysteine residue of a fused protein obtained by linking a specific peptide to the N-terminus of a protein having cysteine at N-terminus. SOLUTION: This physiologically active peptide containing the amino acid sequence shown by the formula is obtained in a large amount without being hydrolyzed by the action of protease in the expressing microorganism cell by cleaving an amino group-side peptide bond of a cysteine residue of a fused protein or peptide obtained by linking a peptide having (substantially) the same amino acid sequence shown by the formula to the N-terminus of a protein or peptide having cysteine at the N-terminus, or by expressing a fused protein or peptide by culturing a transformant carrying a vector having a gene coding for the fused protein or peptide, followed by cleaving an amino group-side peptide bond of a cysteine residue of the expressed fused protein or peptide. |
