PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of securely holding a light-weight lid made by casting of a manhole on a frame in a stable condition. SOLUTION: A lever 2 forms a support arm, an arm, and an engaging part S on an arm tip T side centered on a boss part, inserts a bolt 4 into a hole formed in the boss part of the lever through a spherical washer 5 from a lid 1a side to screw-fit a square nut 6 of a nut seat and the bolt 4, mounts a washer 9 and a spring 7 on the bolt 4 protruding from its opening, and is tightened and fixed by a hexagon nut 8 so as to press a long hole 51 of a pressure receive plate 50 on its end side. The lever 2 is suspended by the spring 7 at all times, and the spring 7 between the lever 2 and the pressure receive plate 50 is constituted as a buffer member.
