PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently fix a liquid under heating and control heat transfer from the circumference of a heating means to a recording part. SOLUTION: A heating type fixing device and a recording apparatus provided therewith include a heating part 84 disposed at a position adjacent to a recording part 70B and on the downstream side thereof along a dirction in which a recording medium is fed, so as to fix under heating a liquid adhering to a recording face to the recording medium, and a heat-insulating part 78 disposed between the heating part 84 and the recording part 70B so as to insulate heat transfer from the heating part 84 to the recording part. The heating part 84 and the heat-insulating part 78 are provided in a recording part containing body, in which the recording part 70B for performing recording operation by discharging the liquid usable for recording relative to the recording face of the recording medium is contained. The heat-insulating part 78 has an air layer 80 spreading in predetermined thickness between the heating part 84 and the recording part.
