PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial joint light in weight, high in durability, easy in manufacture and applicable to an artificial limb. SOLUTION: The artificial joint comprises an integrated synthetic resin upper joint body 2 in which an upper joint portion having a pair of upper sliding surfaces parallel to each other on right and left sides is formed downward, and an upper limb receptacle coupling portion 26 is formed upward, an integrated synthetic resin lower joint body 3 in which a lower joint portion to hold the upper joint body 2 through a pair of lower sliding surfaces opposite to each other in contact with a pair of upper sliding surfaces is formed upward, and a lower limb coupling portion 3f is formed downward, and a hinge shaft 5 to turnably couple the upper joint body 2 and the lower joint body 3 with each other piercing rear portions of the upper joint portion and the lower joint portion, a bolt body 6 urged outwardly by a spring is provided in a retractable manner from an outer surface of a forward portion, and a locking hole through which the bolt body 6 can be pierced is provided in a wall portion of a forward portion of the lower joint portion. |
