PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch to be decreased in size and weight by a method wherein an engaging body and an elastic body contained in a containing recessed part are arranged in a peripheral direction. SOLUTION: This one-way clutch is constituted such that a plurality of recessed parts 13 formed in the opposite part of one plate 10 and a plurality of engaging recessed parts formed in the opposite part of the other plate 11 are situated respectively in a peripheral direction. An engaging body 16 engageable with the engaging recessed part 15 is contained on one end side in the peripheral direction of the containing recessed par 13, and a resilient body 20 is contained on the other end side in the peripheral direction of the containing recessed part 13. Further, the elastic body 20 is provided with a press piece 20c extended in the direction of the engaging body 16 and effecting press energization of the other end part in a peripheral direction of the engaging body 16 toward the outside.
