PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively manufacture a body structure for a rolling stock using a hollow plate, compared with the prior art. SOLUTION: In this body structure, plates 10 having skins in their insides and outsides and including hollow parts between them are arranged to direct an extending direction of the hollow part to a longitudunal direction of a body 1, so as to constitute a roof 2, sides 3 and an underframe 5, and the roof 2, the sides 3 and the the underframe 5 are constituted by connecting the plates 10 (10A.10B) having a length shorter than the whole length of the body 1 in the longitudinal direction of the body 1.
