AROMATIC POLYAMIDE FILM AND MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aromatic polyamide film having a low cost and excellent extensibility, developing a high Young's modulus in high drawing. SOLUTION: This film comprises an aromatic polyamide and at least one different polymer and has >=10 wt.% and <100 wt.% content of the different polymer based on the aromatic polyamide. The ratio S/S0 of peak intensity of 13C-NMR spectrum of at least one carbon constituting the main chain of the different polymer (S0 is the peak intensity of 13C-NMR spectrum measured in a solution state of the different polymer alone; S is the peak intensity of 13C-NMR spectrum measured in a solution state of the aromatic polyamide and the different polymer in the same ratio in the film) satisfies the formula 0<=S/S0<=0.5.
