PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes drier with excellent energy efficiency. SOLUTION: A drying container 7 for housing clothes and a dehumidifying means 8 for sucking air inside the drying container 7, dehumidifying it and then ejecting it into the drying container again are connected by an intake pipe 12 and a blowing pipe 13, control is performed so as to gradually reduce the dehumidifying power of the dehumidifying means 8 as drying time elapses and the clothes drier with the excellent energy efficiency is attained.
