PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the possibility that a unprocessable word is registered by mistake and to retrieve data which have been totalized without generating a wrong retrieval expression even if an accurate item name is not known. SOLUTION: A morpheme analysis part 56 takes a morpheme analysis of a retrieval sentence inputted from an input part 17 by using a word dictionary part and a syntax analysis part 20 converts the retrieval sentence to a syntax analysis result by using a grammar table and a term dictionary. In a matching part 71, a compound word correspondence item selection part 72 composes a word with syntax information on respective words of the term dictionary 73 and decides whether it is applicable to a retrieval item. As for selected combinations of pieces of term information, a retrieval decision part 74 applies a retrieval rule and deletes combinations which are not applied to the rule as ones which can not be retrieved. A compound word correspondence item priority selection part 75 preferentially select a combination of items composed of more words out of the selected combinations of pieces of term information. |
