PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately detect fault section in macro, to determine the type of fault and to quickly and accurately detect the fault point automatically in micro, and to provide fabrication of an apparatus for attaining the purposes. CONSTITUTION:The fault section detector comprises means 1 for receiving a fault detection signal representing a functioned relay or circuit breaker, means 2 for searching a completely interrupted section based on thus received fault detection signal, a simple fault detection means 3, a multiple fault detection means 4, a complex fault detection means 5, and a conclusion forming means 6 for totally judging the conclusions of the fault section detecting means 3, 4, 5 to detect a fault section. The simple fault section detecting means 3 and the multiplex fault section detecting means 4 comprises, respectively, fault section candidate deciding means 31, 41 and fault section candidate verifying means 32, 42. |
