<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally friendly type method for producing hydrogen by which the hydrogen can efficiently be produced without discharging environmentally affecting substances or environmental pollutants such as carbon dioxide or NOX to the outside of the system. SOLUTION: This method for producing hydrogen comprises using a double-pipe type steam reforming reactor 1 of a heating furnace type divided with a partition wall having a prescribed hydrogen separating membrane, filling a catalyst in either one of the pipes of the double pipe, feeding a raw material light hydrocarbon and steam, carrying out a reforming reaction, cooling a gas discharged from the interior of the one of the pipes, conducting the gas-liquid phase separation into a gaseous phase consisting essentially of carbon dioxide and a liquid phase comprising water, taking out the respective phases, continuously discharging the produced hydrogen through the hydrogen separating membrane to the interior of the other pipe, taking out the produced hydrogen, simultaneously feeding a part of the produced hydrogen together with oxygen to the heating furnace, burning the part of the hydrogen and supplying heat to the reforming reactor 1 in the method for producing the hydrogen by a steam reforming reaction of the raw material light hydrocarbon.</p> |
