PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong filter life and also to improve final filter efficiency by combining extra fine fiber nonwoven fabric as a filter medium and thermoplastic span bond nonwoven fabric as a support body layer by thermal adhesive hot melt nonwoven fabric to form a filter. SOLUTION: A filter suitably used when particles in liquid are efficiently removed to obtain clean liquid is formed of a filter layer and a support body layer. Extra fine fiber nonwoven fabric and span bond nonwoven fabric are used as the filter layer and the support body layer respectively. These filter layer and support body layer are welded through thermal adhesive hot melt nonwoven fabric or powder to form the filter. Raw material of the extra fine nonwoven fabric is thermoplastic fiber, and polypropylene, polyester, polyester elastomer or the like are given. On the other hand, as that of the span band nonwoven fabric, thermoplastic fiber of polyolefin base or polyester base or the like is given, but core-clad type conjugate fiber is preferably used.
