PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip with an arc shaped cutting edge capable of improving a chips disposal property. SOLUTION: From a view of a front flank 8 side, a knife edge ridge line 4a of an arc cutting edge 4 and a rear rake face 7a ranging therewith are formed into an arc so as to be recess part. A tip 1 is vertically sent, thereby machining an arcuate track groove, but a cross section of discharged chips is deformed into the arcuate shape following a recess shape of the knife edge ridge line 4a of the arcuate cutting edge 4 and a recess shape of a rake face 7a, so that stiffness is improved to resist straying. Furthermore, the chips are discharged just behind along the rake face 7a, and curled in a coil spring shape on the rake face 7a, thereby improving a chips disposal property. |
