PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tableware for increasing mastication which enables to maintain a certain mastication time in taking a meal. SOLUTION: The grip of a chopstick 1 is provided with a timer means 2 which detects a prescribed time fixed in advance, switch means 3a to start the detection of the prescribed time by the timer means 2, a notification means 4 which notifies the prescribed time detected by the timer means 2 and a power supply means 5 to supply power to other individual means. The switch means 3a are actuated by the variation of tilt angles from a tilt angleθ1 when holding food put on a rice bowl, and the like to a tilt angleθ2 when taking the food thus held into the mouth.
