PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively separate and recover scum like or colloidal sludge over a long period of time by using, at the same time, the scraping off of the sludge deposited on the surface of a filter and the desorption of the sludge adsorbed in a filter layer by the pressurization from the waste liquid outflow side. SOLUTION: At the time of treating waste liquid containing sludge, first the waste liquid is injected until a liquid surface A is attained and a hollow axis 2 is connected to a suction line to such the waste liquid. Then, the sludge is deposited on the surface of a filter cylinder 1 and is turned into concentrated sludge E. Then, the concentrated sludge E is scraped off by a squeegee blade 4 with the rotation of the filter cylinder 1, and the blade 4 is inverted to the center of an axis 6 by an increase in the sludge thereon, thereby making sludge B fall into a stocker 5. After that, the hollow axis 2 is connected to a pressurizing line and the sludge remaining on the surface of a laminated wire net is pressurized to desorb it, and the desorbed sludge is scraped off by the blade 4 and is made to fall to the stocker.
