PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to support the body in balance by providing the backrest of a chair with two projection objects supporting the back of the head and the waist respectively, which is movable back and forth in the opposite directions to each other. SOLUTION: A pillow 1 for the back of the head or neck and a pillow 2 for the waist are connected by a rod 3, which is supported by a fulcrum 4 fixed to a backrest 5. The rod 3 goes through the backrest 5. When force is applied to the pillow 1 for the back of the head or neck in the backward direction, force is applied to the pillow 2 for the waist in the forward direction. When a person tilts his/her head backward with force applied to the neck, the pillow 1 for the back of the head or neck is pressed backward, while the pillow 2 for the waist is pressed forward, resulting that his/her waist is stretched. When the person release his/her abdominal muscle to bent the body, the pillow 2 for the waist is pressed backward, while the pillow 1 for the back of the head or neck is pressed forward, resulting that the head is bent forward so the person returns his/her head to the original position. These two pillows are moved in opposite directions naturally, so the person feels comfortable on the chair.
