摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate the removal of slag after refining and to improve the productivity by arranging a slag discharging hole having a closable/openable slag discharging means in the horizontal direction and/or the height direction at the upper part of a side wall at least at one position. SOLUTION: Plural slag discharging holes 7 are arranged in the horizontal direction at the upper part of the sidewall in a refining vessel and in the height direction from the position of the slag-metal interface before refining to the position of the slag-metal interface after the refining. The slag discharging hole 7 is closable/openable and suitable to a sliding nozzle, stopper, mud material filling method or a cooling metal rod pushing method or sand plugging method. A slag stopping cover 8 is fitted into the refining vessel so as to be freely fitted/separated to restrain the spattering of the slag. The slag 2 spouted from the slag spouting hole is butted to the slag stopping cover 8 and flows along a slag discharging trough 9 and flows down into a slag pan. It is desirable that a slag discharging means has the structure possible to pressurize by arranging a flange closely attached to the exhaust gas treating system and attachable/ detachable in the refining vessel.</p>
