<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposing head that enables increasing of the quantity of a light emitted to a photosensitive body by bringing a light introducing face into close proximity to the photosensitive body and achieving of high speed and high resolution image forming and is preferably adapted to an exposing section of an image forming apparatus for outputting electric image information. SOLUTION: A plurality of light emitting element chips 1 are arranged in a line on a long band like substrate 2, a shading member 4 for separating emission lights is provided to a portion around the chip array and a conductive shading plate 5 is provided so as to be contacted with a top face of the chip array. A pin hole 6 (optical stop) for introducing the emission light of each element chip to a photosensitive body 10 is provided to the shading plate 5 and is opposed to the light introducing face at the top face of the chip. An upper electrode provided to the side of the light introducing face is bonded to the rear face of the shading plate 5 with a conductive adhesive 7 to be electrically connected thereto. An opposing electrode at the lower face of each element chip is connected to a circuit pattern 13 provided to the substrate 2. A current in the forward direction is allowed to flow across both of the electrodes, then a light in a visible region is emitted from the light introducing face.</p> |
