PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grow various plants on various inclined wall faces including a vertical wall without impairing their appearance and to prevent the loss of a planting member and soil for planting due to river water and rainwater securely to ensure the continuity of planting for a long time. SOLUTION: This wall planting member is provided with a holder 21 retaining a predetermined amount of soil for planting and a spacer 23 filled in a space inside the holder 21, the holder means 21 is formed by a flexible sheetlike material, and the spacer 23 partitions the space inside the holder means 21 into several parts equally in the vertical direction and to the right and left using a slexible hard wire. The holder 21 is formed by a felt material having a fixed wall thickness, and the spacer 23 is formed by bending the flexible hard wire vertically and to the right and left with random curvature. A clearance is provided between adjacent right and left stone materials and the wall planting member 10 is arranged in this clearance when the stone materials are piled up to construct a wall. A recessed part may be formed on a surface of the stone material constituting a wall face, and the wall planting member 10 may be arranged in the recessed part.
