PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the impact resistance of a helmet composed of a plastic or a metal, lighten the helmet and improve the operability thereof by mounting or fixing a hollow outer jacket on a body of the helmet. SOLUTION: This helmet made of a plastic or a metal is lightened by mounting or fixing a hollow outer jacket 2 having an outer shape of a spherical part resembled to the external shape of a body 1 of the helmet on the outer surface of the body 1 of the helmet. The inner surface of the outer jacket 2 preferably has the same shape as the outer shape of the body 1 of the helmet.
