PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous emulsion which has an excellent adhesive force, an excellent tacky force and an excellent cohesive force and contains dispersoid particles having multi-layered structures. SOLUTION: This aqueous emulsion contains dispersoid particles having multi-layered structures and (C) at least one dispersant selected from anionic surfactants and polyoxyethylene-based nonionic surfactants. The dispersoid particles comprise (A) a polymer consisting mainly of at least one monomer selected from mathacrylate ester-based monomers, acrylate ester-based monomers and styrenic monomers and (B) a polymer consisting mainly of at least one monomer selected from vinyl ester-based monomers and olefinic monomers. Therein, the polymer A is mainly contained in the centers of the dispersoid particles, and the polymer B is mainly contained in the peripheral portions of the dispersoid particles. The polymers A and B are contained in an A/B weight ratio of 20/80 to 90/10 in the dispersoid particles. The dispersoid particles and the dispersant are contained in a (A+B)/C weight ratio of 100/2 to 100/9.
