PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerization irradiator for dental treatment which is cordless, light in weight, and easy in handling. SOLUTION: In the photopolymerization irradiator for dental treatment in which the light of a halogen lamp 30 is converged at an incident end 20a of a light guide 20 by a reflecting mirror 40, and the light irradiated from an emission end 20b of the light guide cures a photo-curable resin filled in a defective portion of a tooth, a filament coil 31 of the halogen lamp is arranged at a first focal point of the reflecting mirror, the incident end of the light guide is arranged at a second focal point, and the value ofα=A×(C/B) satisfies the relation ofα<=20, where A (mm2) is the surface area of the filament coil, B(mm2) is the area of the light guide at the incident end, f1 is the distance from a top of the reflecting mirror to the first focal point, f2 is the distance from the top to the second focal point, and C is the eccentricity between the focal points, and expressed by f2/f1, and the power is supplied to the halogen lamp by a lithium ion battery 16.
