PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely protect a subject by preventing contact and a collision with a support device even if the subject moves at rotating or moving time of the support device for supporting an X-ray tube for irradiating an X-ray to the subject and an image receiving device for picking up an X-ray image of the subject by arranging a cover for covering the periphery of the subject. SOLUTION: When rotating a rotary ring 102 by a motor 205, an X-ray tube 105 and an image receiving device 106 oppositely arranged in the diametrical direction in this rotary ring 102 are turned around a subject on a top plate 108. Such an X-ray system is provided with a cylindrical cover 210 covering the periphery of the subject and being composed of a transparent or semitransparent construction material having an X-ray absorption coefficient. That is, the cylindrical cover 210 is formed of a transparent material such as acrylic and polycarbonate to be supported by a cover 206 of a stand 101 via plural-stage rails 211, 213, and the cylindrical cover 210 can be stored in the stand 101 when the subject gets on and off the top plate 108.
