PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for holding fishing rod, capable of readily adjusting the angle in the vertical direction of a fishing rod when the rod is hung and not becoming a large size. SOLUTION: This device for holding fishing rod is equipped with a connecting shaft 32 pivotally supported by a positioning member 30 in which one end side is supported on a base 5 and the other end side is variably supported along an arm part 9 receiving the fishing rod and a shift-preventing mechanism capable of fixing the positioning member 30 at an arbitrary position along the arm part 9. The device is characterized in that angle of the arm part 9 in the vertical direction can be adjusted by positioning the positioning member 30 at an arbitrary position.
