The golf ball (1) is secured to one end of a non-extensible cord (3), the other end (4) being anchored into the ground. A ring (6) slidably mounted on the section (5) of cord nearest the ball is attached to an elastic cord (7) crossing the non-extensible cord at right angles, both ends (8, 9) of the elastic cord being anchored into the ground. Markings along the section of non-extensible cord nearest the ball are used to alter ring position depending on what type of club is being used.
