PERSONAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a private person according to plural biological features and to attain high security by storing the authentication condition data in a portable storage medium to specify at least a biological feature for the personal recognition and then detecting the biological features corresponding to the authentication condition data read out of the portable storage means from a user. SOLUTION: A personal recognition device 100 consists of a CCD sensor 20 which collects the fingerprint data on a specific finger of a user, a microphone 30 which collects the voiceprint data, a video camera 40 which collects the image data on the user's face and a card slit 50 where an IC card 200 of a portable storage medium of the user is inserted. Then the device 100 stores the authentication condition data into the card 200 that is carried with the user to specify at least a biological feature for the personal authentication. Then the biological features corresponding to the authentication condition data read which are out of the card 200 are detected from the user to perform the personal authentication.
