PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a file in a storing position suited to the inherent environment of a computer in each sort of the file only by specifying the target file to be stored and to enable a user not knowing the environment of the computer to easily store the file without damaging the environment. SOLUTION: The file processor stores which directory stores each of environment setting files EP1, EP2 in each of computer terminals PC1, PC2. When the storage of a copy of a file is specified by the terminal PC1, the processor specifies the sort of the file by referring to the file EP1, specifies a directory corresponding to the sort, reads out the file from the directory, and transmits the read file to the terminal PC2. The terminal PC2 specifies the sort of the file by referring to the file EP2, specifies the directory corresponding to the sort and stores the received file in the directory.
