The lid assembly (1) comprises of a central hollow handle assembly (7). The lid handle has an upward taper such that a connection collar (3) of a locking frame (2) can be attached. The frame has attached at one end a latch handle (4) such that the lid can be latched to the upper rim of a container, not shown. The hollow handle of the lid assembly receives the crank mechanism that drives the cutting assemblies.
