PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of connecting surely an optical fiber. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method is provided with a process for preparing a ferrule 111 having a through hole for guiding an optical fiber 112 and having a cavity part 130 for filling an adhesive in a midway thereof, and the optical fiber 112 with a tip part coating-removed and vertically cut, a process for inserting the optical fiber 112 into the hole of the ferrule 111 from its tip part side and for aligning a tip face of the optical fiber 112 and an end face of the ferrule 111, and a process for supplying the adhesive to the cavity part 130 and for curing to fix bondingly the optical fiber 112 and the ferrule 111. In this method, an in-container-stored type adhesive 15 provided by coating with a film member the adhesive 15 comprising a liquid cured rapidly when exposed to air is prepared, then the adhesive 15 of a volume corresponding to a cavity part volume is supplied to the cavity part 130, the film member of the adhesive 15 is broken thereafter to fill the adhesive 15 in the cavity part 130, and the adhesive 15 is exposed to air to fix bondingly the optical fiber 112 and the ferrule 111.
