摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor which maintains high image quality by providing the circumference of a coating application vessel with a coating liquid reservoir vessel and providing the upper part of the coating application vessel with a vapor leakage enclosure. SOLUTION: This coating applicator is constituted by providing the circumference of the coating application vessel 1 with the coating liquid reservoir vessel 3 and providing the upper part of the coating application vessel 1 with vapor leakage enclosure 5. The coating liquid in a storage tank 8 is supplied via a circulating pump 10 to the coating application vessel 1 and if the volume thereof exceeds the capacity of the coating application vessel 1, the coating liquid flows over the vessel and is supplied to the coating liquid reservoir vessel 3, in such constitution. Next, if the coating liquid exceeds the capacity of the coating liquid reservoir vessel 3, the coating liquid is supplied as the return liquid from the upper part of the storage tank 8 through piping. At this time, the range of the coating application vessel 1 is provided with the coating liquid reservoir vessel 3 to promote the generation of solvent vapor and to prevent the disturbance of the solvent vessel when the coating liquid flows over from the coating application vessel 1 and is supplied. The coating liquid reservoir vessel 3 is installed lower than the coating application vessel 1 in order to improve an effect. As a result, the occurrence of the coating application unevenness of various densities of charge generating layers is suppressed.
