SOLUTION: In this coordinate inputting/detecting device 100 provided with plural light emitting means and plural light receiving means, the second- dimensional coordinates of a plane or almost a plane of light shielding means are detected according to the presence or absence of the light shielding means in the optical paths of those light emitting/light receiving means.
