PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and economical circuit for controlling sudden change of AC input power, in an uninterruptible power unit equipped with a diode rectifier circuit. SOLUTION: In an uninterruptible power unit, where an AC power source 1 is equipped with a diode rectifier circuit 2 and a battery charging circuit, shifting from battery power to AC input power is made smooth by adding a switch 15 which temporarily cuts off a thyristor rectifier 10 for battery charging from a battery 9, and a diode 16 which prevents the output voltage of the thyristor rectifier 10 from being applied to the battery 10, and temporarily making the thyristor rectifier 10 supply power to the inverter load at power recovery of an AC power source 1. |
