PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material excellent in the decolorability of a dye, free from an unnecessary residual color component in the read of image information and excellent in color separation and sharpness even after long-term preservation by incorporating a specified dye as a dispersion of solid fine particles into a photosensitive layer and/or a nonphotosensitive layer. SOLUTION: A dye of the formula D-(X)y is incorporated as a dispersion of solid fine particles into a photosensitive layer and/or a nonphotosensitive layer. In the formula, D is a compound having a chromophore, X is a dissociable proton bonding to D directly or by way of a divalent combining group or a group having the dissociable proton and (y) is an integer of 1-7. The dye is, e.g., a compound of the formula A1=L1-(L2=L3)m-Q, A1=N-Q or A1=L1-(L2= L3)n-A2, wherein each of A1 and A2 is an acidic nucleus, Q is aryl or a heterocyclic group, each of L1-L3 is methine, (m) is 0, 1 or 2 and (n) is 0, 1, 2 or 3.
