PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dislocation at surface mounting by providing terminals more than those required for satisfying the electrical function of surface mounting components. SOLUTION: A surface mounting component 1 is provided with lead-type terminals 9, where the connection part to a mounting substrate is branched into at least two parts and related to a land 10 of the substrate where the surface mount part 1 is mounted, the connection part to the terminal 9 is branched into at least two parts. Or the surface mount part 1 is provided with plated-type terminals 11, where the connection part to the mounting substrate is branched into at least two parts and related to a land 10' of the substrate, and the connection part to the terminal 11 is branched into at least two parts. The pitch of branched terminals 9 and 11 is aligned with that of lands 10 and 10' of the substrate, with the part except for the branched one covered with an insulating film, such as resists.
