The invention concerns a method for measuring atmospheric pressure (Patm) in a motor vehicle internal combustion engine fuel system comprising a pressure (Pint) sensor (30) arranged in a device (24) distributing air or an air/fuel mixture provided upstream of at least one engine cylinder (10) whereto the distributing device is connected by at least an intake valve (18) controlled by a linear actuator (11), in particular by an electromagnetic actuator, connected to an electronic control unit (22) which receives in particular a signal representing the pressure measured by the sensor (30). The invention is characterised in that it consists in closing all the intake valves (18) before carrying out pressure measurement (Pint) using the sensor (30). |
