PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device capable of effectively preventing soiling by toner. SOLUTION: As to this electrophotographic device, an electrode 14 constituted of a metallic plate whose surface opposed to a photoreceptor drum 10 is bent to fit the surface shape of the drum 10 and whose length is constituted to cover the image forming area of the surface of a photoreceptor drum along the longitudinal direction of the photoreceptor drum 10 is provided on a position closer to the surface of the photoreceptor drum between the exposing device and a developing device 16 than a position from the exposing device to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 10. The potential of the electrode 14 is a positive potential +VI larger than the surface potential +VII of the photoreceptor drum 10 by a power source 18 an electric field having the larger potential than the surface potential of the drum 10 is made to act on suspended toner discharged from the device 16, so that the suspended is pushed and kept on a photoreceptor drum side and prevented from going to the exposing device.
