PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the occurrence of a trouble of an image forming device caused by an adverse environmental condition. SOLUTION: Temperature of fluorescent lamp atmosphere is monitored by a temperature sensor. When any trouble is generated, discrimination is made to determine whether the temperature being monitored is within a prescribed range or not (S101 to S103). If the temperature is out of the range (NO in S103), discrimination is made to determine whether the temperature is too high or too low (S105). When the temperature is too high (S106) or too low (S107), a warning to that effect is displayed on an operation panel and transmitted to a host computer of a maintenance company through a network or is stored in the memory of the relevant copying machine (S106, S107). |
