PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a problem on adhesion of CWP by a method, wherein a viscosity measuring device is provided to measure CWP viscosity over a long time in a manufacturing process of CWP and each part is cleaned by a cleaning device. SOLUTION: In a coal/water paste manufacturing device provided with a device to measure viscosity of CWP, injection nozzles 51a and 51b are provided to clean a guide plate 105 for introducing CWP attached to a CWP viscosity measuring device, a viscosity measuring container 106, and a rotor 110 for detecting viscosity. Water is poured on the guide plate 105, the viscosity container 106, and the rotor 110 through water injection nozzles 51a and 51b each time a kneader is stopped, and periodic cleaning through injection is executed during the operation of the kneader.
