PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce suction errors by housing a cylindrical heat-resistant quartz oscillator, which is surface-mounted on a circuit board in a case which comprises 3-surface configuration metal and whose circuit board side is open. SOLUTION: A case 6 is formed by drawing a flat metal plate into a U-shape which encloses a cylindrical sealing pipe 2 in three directions. In other words, a part which meets the outside-diameter curvature of the cylindrical sealing pipe 2 is formed at the case 6, so that the cylindrical sealing pipe 2 is clamped with the case 6 of metal plate having a 3-surface configuration where a circuit board side is open, and terminal parts 6A and 6B for soldering are provided on a tip end 2A side of the cylindrical sealing pipe 2. Since a flat surface is sucked with a chip mounter, no special form nozzle is required nor longer suction time is required, resulting in reduced sucking errors.
