PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the weighing accuracy due to the increasing of a tare weight of a conveyer and to convey a commodity between both of side belts without limiting the height of the commodity in terms of weighing equipment having a side belt type conveyer that conveys the commodity by nipping it from both sides. SOLUTION: A pair of conveying units 19, 20 are provided to be opposed with each other with a conveying passage of a commodity X therebetween. Each of units 19, 20 has each side belt 34, 35 such that the running faces of the side belts 34, 35 are opposed with each other. The belts 34, 35 are driven by driving motors 28, 29, respectively to nip the commodity X from both of the sides thereof and to convey it. Each of units 19, 20 is supported by an exclusive load cell. A weight of each unit 19, 20 as a tare weight is subtracted from a sum value of output signals of the load cells, thereby obtaining the weight of the commodity. As the weights of the conveying units 19, 20 are divided into two load cells, the tare weight does not become great. As a space can be made between both of the belts 34, 35, a commodity even having a large height can be conveyed.
