PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the drying time of garbage from being extended and further malodor from being discharged to the outside of a body. SOLUTION: A garbage-treating machine is provided with a garbage-treating container 1, a heating means 10 for heating and drying garbage, a blowing device 11 for feeding hot air to the garbage, a blowing guide 12, and a catalysis deodorization device 13 for deodorizing malodor being generated from the garbage. Also, a suction port 26 for taking in malodor into the catalyst deodorization device 13 is arranged at a position close to the blowing guide 12 above the opening of the blowing guide 12, thus preventing large garbage from rising up to the suction port 26 since wind near the suction port 26 is weak even if it faces downward or upward, preventing the suction port 26 from being blocked and the garbage from adhering to a catalysis, and hence preventing the drying time of the garbage from becoming long, and further suppressing the discharge of malodor to the outside of the body.
